En el trasfondo de nuestra cultura: La tradición racionalista y el problema del dualismo ontológico

In the background of our culture: the rationalistic tradition and the problem of ontological dualism

El presente texto desarrolla una lectura de la tradición racionalista occidental (cartesiana, abstracta) a partir del marco fenomenológico de la cognición y la computación propuesto por Maturana, Varela, y Flores. Se analiza el dualismo ontológico asociado con esta tradición, en particular sus efectos sobre las creencias prevalecientes acerca del individuo, la economía, la ciencia objetiva, y lo real. Finalmente, aunque de manera muy esquemática, se expone la idea de relacionalidad, u ontologías relacionales, como perspectiva diferente para el análisis de la relación entre conocimiento, experiencia, práctica y acción. De esta propuesta surgen la noción de pluriverso y una posible re-lectura del diseño como involucrado en la creación de mundos.
