It is surprising and pleasant to undertake research in the social sciences, particularly in the discipline of history, the fruit of a comprehensive collaboration of three authors, who have not only carried out long-term, joint work, but have managed to maintain the unity of style and content. Interdisciplinary teams are more or less common in investigative work, but groups that are capable of reaching underlying theoretical agreements and coherent proposals are rare and exemplary. I underline all this, for what it means and for the high quality of the work. It had to be the female genius! who would give us such an investigative harvest.
